Goodbye Fall. Welcome Winter.

It's been awhile since this was updated, and boy have we been busy.
We had a bunch of fun at our Hibernation Party. It was great pretending to be bears and learning about how animals hibernate in the winter.

Fun in the Fall!

October has been a very busy month! 
In the first week of October, we had a mommy guest reader in the morning who read "The Ugly Duckling" and brought in her duck as a prop!  The students LOVED it.

We have been busy decorating the classroom for fall.  The students have enjoyed watching the leaves change colors and fall to the ground outside.  We went on a walk and collected some of the leaves and made a mural rubbing with them.

Each day we sing our Fall song during Carpet Time to remind us of the season: (sung to Frere Jacques)

Leaves are falling, leaves are falling

To the ground, To the ground

We will catch them

We will throw them

All around, all around

Fall is the perfect time of year to play outside because it's not too hot and not too cold!

Fire prevention week was the 11th to the 13th.  We painted two big firetrucks to play with in our classrooms. We also got to see a real firetruck on the 13th when Fireman Eric talked to the class about fire safety and showed us his truck and his very tall ladder!
